Branislav Boričić, professor of Mathematics and dean of the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. Graduated from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Belgrade, in 1977, got the MA degree in 1980, and PhD degree in 1984, from the University of Belgrade. Teaching commitments and interests: Algebra, Linear algebra, Analysis, Mathematical logic (proof theory, non-classical logics, preference logic), Systems theory, Methodology of scientific research, Social choice and decision theory. 

内容刚要：

During the last century, after works by K. J. Arrow and A. K. Sen, and two Nobel prizes in economics, 1972 and 1998, respectively, Social choice theory was placed in the focus of Mathematical economics. On the basis of the established logical and methodological criteria, we will point at a sequence of extremely important 'impossibility theorems', through the history of science, reaching to the present days, including the glorious results in field of social choice. Abstract concept of social choice is applicable in both cases, microeconomics (decision making in small groups, consumer choice etc.) and macroeconomics (public choice). Our approach can be considered also as dealing with phenomenon of impossibility in ordinal utility theory presenting an appropriate introduction to cardinal theory.
